Indigenous student support

Kulbardi is serious about providing you with all the support we can to help you achieve your educational goals. The Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre offers friendship and cultural strength in a warm and comfortable environment. One of Kulbardi's main aims is to encourage increased participation in tertiary education by Indigenous students.

The Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre is ultimately designed to encourage student interaction, group identity and cultural support. All of the Kulbardi locations across the three campuses house a student room where students can meet and relax. Kulbardi also conducts regular social and cultural functions where students can mix with staff and guests from across the university and the broader community.

Additionally, students have access to  academic support, a photocopier, scanner and computer facilities. The South Street campus also has tutorial and study rooms and an Indigenous resource library.

The Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre administers two significant support services for Indigenous students.  These are:

  • ITAS (IndigenousTutorial Assistance Scheme); and

There is also a range of other support services offered by various offices and groups at Murdoch
